FLUENT IN ENGLISH IN MONTHS NOT YEARS

A message from James

I’m an  Teacher/Trainer with more than  18 years’ experience. I’ve also lived and worked in 42 different countries, so I understand what it’s like to know the grammar – but to be unable to speak the language. I’ve combined my experience as a language learner with my expertise as a teacher to show you ways you can speak English fluently and confidently. Speaking English doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, when you analyse typical conversations, you’ll find that the same words and phrases are used again and again. We use these “fluency phrases” to show other people our intentions – what we want to say – and then we add the details for the conversation. So when YOU use these phrases, you can build English conversations easily. You don’t need to translate each word from your language, because you already know the phrases.

This means you can speak English more quickly and more fluently.

What is fluent in English?

Fluent in English is a difficult to describe because it is very hard to measure. In fact, it’s actually a lot of different skills rolled into one. So what is fluent in English, really? To answer that question, we have to ask: what does fluent mean? Fluent is a word that’s often used to describe someone’s ability to communicate in a language that isn’t their first language

What is fluency?

Fluency is the ability to speak a language easily and freely without struggling for words or idioms. Fluent speakers sound like native speakers, and they are able to speak at normal speeds with few pauses or stumbles. At first, most people learn vocabulary and basic grammar, which helps them communicate on a basic level. However, fluency comes when you can put together these basic skills to express yourself without translating from your native language

What is proficiency in English?

Proficiency is another word for ability, but it’s used in a special way to talk about a person’s skills in a language. It’s important to know the difference between ability and proficiency when you learn a foreign language.  When you study a foreign language, you start with the ability to speak it. However, you may need to study to become proficient in a language—that is, able to use it to do specific things. Reading, writing, and speaking are the three main areas of language proficiency. Cambridge exams call the C2 level proficiency which is the highest level you can obtain in English. proficiency is a higher level than fluency which is at a B2(upper-intermediate) level.

How can I become fluent in English?

Do you want to improve your fluency in English?  To be fluent in a language you need to be able to use it in various different situations.  You should be able to speak it and understand it when other people speak it, and you should be able to read and write it when necessary.  The best way to get better at English is to speak it.  Try to speak English with your friends, family, and co-workers.  If you live with native speakers, try to talk to them as much as possible.  You should also try to read books and magazines in English.  If you read a lot, you will improve your vocabulary and grammar.

Why is speaking English fluently important?

If you want to succeed at work, school, and in life, knowing the English language is extremely important. If you don’t speak English, you miss out on the number of higher-paying jobs available only to those who speak another language. You can also avoid the embarrassment of not understanding something or not being able to ask for help when you need it. In addition, it’s helpful to know English if you want to travel. You will always be able to communicate with the locals, whether you’re in a foreign country or just visiting another part of your country.

What is the difference between fluent in English  and accuracy?

Fluency and accuracy are two common goals for learners of English. However, they are different things, as the terms suggest.  Understanding the difference can help you achieve your English learning goals. Fluency is your ability to speak English without hesitation or stumble. It is often described as “automaticity,” or the ability to use a language without thinking about it. Fluency is often viewed as the ability to construct a sentence with ease. For example, a person who is fluent may be able to communicate clearly but may make a lot of mistakes. This is because the speaker is not very accurate in what they are saying. Accuracy, on the other hand, refers to how close your use of English comes to the “correct” English. A person who is accurate speaks the language correctly but may speak slower than someone who is fluent.

How long does it take to be fluent in English?

Being fluent in English is a goal that many students and professionals strive for. But while there is no single definition that encompasses every person’s idea of fluency, most can agree that it requires a high level of proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, a set of standards for language proficiency, to be considered fluent, students need to have a passive knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and spelling. You can become fluent in English in one year if you study and practice.

Fluent in English? How do i know if I am fluent.

The simple answer is that you know if you are fluent, native, or bilingual in a language if:

1) you are able to understand speech and written language without effort,

2) you can produce speech and written language without effort, and

3) you feel comfortable and confident when you use the language in everyday life.

We have been working with Jimmi since October 2021. He is an excellent teacher who is ready to adapt to your wishes. We had excellent and productive IELTS preparation classes and had wonderful conversational classes where we discussed various topics and our hobbies. It turned out that Jimmi loves music and Formula 1, just like me. Classes are fun and fruitful!

When I started learning English with James my speaking skills were so poor, that I asked him to work on General English instead of Marketing. I felt very uncomfortable while speaking. Months were passing by, James was providing me with such complex topics, which I almost never speak about in Russian. I struggled with discussing them. But in 3 months I was able to easily go through a job interview! I haven’t even realised when I became such confident! And James provided me with useful idioms, such expressions that natives use, like “I’m in between jobs” instead of “I don’t work currently”. Also, I want to mention that James is an incredibly interesting person to talk to! He has more than 20 years of travelling experience and so many brilliant stories to tell from there! So I’m very happy that I could learn from him!
